Dr. Lisa Hobson-Webb will present: Frontiers of Neuromuscular Imaging: A Closer Look at Peripheral Nerve and Muscle

“Frontiers of Neuromuscular Imaging” will provide an understanding of how ultrasound currently augments assessment of neuromuscular disorders, while acknowledging its limitations. Looking toward the future, we will discuss ongoing research to address those gaps, including ultra-high frequency ultrasound, shear wave elastography, optoacoustic imaging and the incorporation of artificial intelligence

Dr. Lisa Hobson-Webb is a distinguished Professor of Neurology /Neuromuscular at duke University in Durham, North Carolina, USA. Dr. Hobson-Webb currently serves as Director of the Neuromuscular Ultrasound Program, and is Director of the Duke Neuroscience Clinical Research medicine.
She is the President of AANEM (American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine)

Clinical Neurophysiological Symposium
September 25, 2026
Cankarjev dom, Ljubljana, Slovenia

Dear colleagues,
As every year, this autumn, at the Institute of Clinical Neurophysiology in Ljubljana, we are organizing a Clinical Neurophysiological Symposium with a Dr. Janez Faganel memorial lecture. This year's meeting will be dedicated to inflammatory neuropathies. This is an important group of neurological diseases, which includes both acute conditions (i.e., Guillain-Barré syndrome) and various chronic forms of mostly demyelinating polyneuropathies. Their diagnosis is not easy, but most of them can now be effectively treated.

We look forward to meeting you!
Prof. Simon Podnar, MD
Meeting Chair
